EV Offers Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions set out the basis on which you may participate in the Incentive when entering into an electric vehicle (“EV”) rental agreement with Northgate Vehicle Hire Limited (“Northgate”, “we”, “us” or “our”).

By selecting an Incentive, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions, which form part of your agreement
with us.

1. Definitions

1.1. “EV” or "Electric Vehicle" means an electric-powered van or light commercial vehicle rented from
Northgate. This Incentive offer does not apply to car rentals.
1.2. "Incentive" means one of the following benefits offered in connection with your EV rental:
1.2.1. A discount on a home EV charger installation;
1.2.2. A discount on a workplace EV charger installation;
1.2.3. A complimentary, half-day, one-to-one EV driver training session for a single driver; or
1.2.4. A quarterly credit on your EV Card.
The details of the Incentive, including the value of any discount, will be notified to you by us.
1.3. “EV Account” means a payment card and / or home reimbursement product issued by a Third-Party
Supplier to a customer for the purchase of electricity that powers an electric vehicle.
1.4. "Third-Party Provider" means the independent service provider to whom you will be referred for fulfilment
of the Incentive.
1.5. "Vehicle Term" means the full duration of your agreed rental period as stated in the signed booking form.

 

2. Eligibility and Participation

2.1. The Incentive is available exclusively to customers entering into a qualifying EV rental agreement with
Northgate for a minimum term of 12 months or more.
2.2. The Incentive is available to both new customers and existing customers placing additional EV hires.
2.3. You become eligible to select an Incentive only once you have submitted a fully signed vehicle booking
form. No Incentive can be claimed before this.
2.4. You may select one Incentive per qualifying vehicle rental. Multiple Incentives cannot be combined.
2.5. Once your qualifying 12+ month vehicle booking form is received and validated by us, you will receive a
dedicated link via email to access the EV Incentive offer form. Through this digital form, you can select one
Incentive per eligible EV rental. Only one Incentive may be selected per vehicle.
2.6. Support for additional installations outside of the Incentive can be arranged separately through the ThirdParty Provider, at your own cost and subject to the Third-Party Provider’s terms and conditions.
2.7. The Incentive is not available to:
2.7.1. regulated customers, including sole traders, partnerships with fewer than four partners, or
unincorporated associations; and
2.7.2. short-term rentals or vehicles hired under agreements of less than 12 months.

 

3. Referral to Third-Party Providers

3.1. Once you have selected your Incentive, we will refer or direct you to the appropriate Third-Party Provider.
3.2. You will be required to enter into a direct agreement with the Third-Party Provider and must accept their
terms and conditions, including those related to installation, delivery, service levels, liability, and warranty.
3.3. The Incentive will only be provided once you have agreed to those terms. We accept no responsibility for
the delivery, quality, or timeliness of the services or products provided under the Incentive.
3.4. For EV charger installations, once your form has been submitted, Charged Electric Vehicles Limited
(“CEV”) will carry out the necessary surveys prior to installation. You acknowledge that CEV may be unable
to carry out the installation if it decides in its discretion that there are any installation blockers and
therefore you would not be entitled to the incentive. On completion of the installation, CEV will issue an
invoice reflecting the discounted value of the Incentive. Eligibility for the discount will depend on
adherence to the rental term agreed and the Third-Party Provider’s terms and conditions.
3.5. For the quarterly credits on your EV Account, Northgate will send you a link with a form to complete. Once
you have submitted the form, the Third-Party Provider will be in contact to progress your EV Account
application. The Third-Party Provider will confirm whether your application was successful. Their decision
is final. If it is not successful, Northgate will be informed and you will be offered another alternative. Please
note there may be a subscription charge for the EV Account. The Incentive cannot be used towards the
subscription charge and needs to be paid directly by you every month via direct debit.

4. Redemption and Use

4.1. You must redeem the Incentive within three (3) months of the EV being placed on hire. After this time, the
Incentive will expire, and no retrospective claim can be made.
4.2. The Incentive is non-transferable, non-refundable, and cannot be exchanged for cash or alternative
services.
4.3. Any additional services or upgrades you request from the Third-Party Provider will fall outside this offer and will be subject to a separate agreement and pricing.
4.4. If you are eligible, and subject to these terms and conditions, you will be able to select one of the following
incentives per qualifying EV hire, based on the agreed rental period for the EV hire. Incentive values detailed are exclusive of VAT:
4.5. To receive the Incentive at 1.2.4 you must have a qualifying EV rental “Qualifying Hire” on the 1
st day of the preceding month e.g. for £100 credit on 1st April the Qualifying Hire EV must be on hire on the 1st March of that year. If that cut-off date is not achieved when the Qualifying Hire goes on hire, the first payment will be
for the following quarter 1st July.

5. Cancellation and Early Termination

5.1. If you cancel your vehicle order after the Incentive has already been provided (e.g., a charger installation or
training session), you agree to repay the full value of the Incentive to Northgate. This amount will become
immediately due and payable and will be invoiced by Northgate.
5.2. If you end your vehicle rental early, before completing the Vehicle Term as agreed in the booking form, you
will be required to repay the full value of the Incentive. This cost will be invoiced by Northgate.
5.3. The repayment amount will be equal to the cost that Northgate initially subsidised or covered on your
behalf to enable you to receive the deduction from the Third-Party Provider.

 

6. Your Responsibilities

6.1. You are responsible for ensuring that any required permissions, access, or electrical suitability are in place
for charger installations at your premises and to comply with the requirements of the Third-Party Provider’s
terms and conditions.
6.2. You must ensure that all information you provide to us and our Third-Party Providers is accurate and up to
date.

 

7. General Conditions

7.1. We act solely as a referral partner for the Incentive. All goods and services offered through this scheme are
the responsibility of the Third-Party Providers.
7.2. We may amend, withdraw, or replace this Incentive offer at any time without notice.
7.3. All Incentive offers are subject to availability and the capacity of our Third-Party Providers.
7.4. We shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or delay arising from the services or products provided by third
parties under this Incentive.
7.5. We shall not be liable to you whatsoever in respect of the services provided by the Third-Party Providers,
including any loss or damage to property.
7.6. We reserve the right to verify and validate all Incentive selections. We may withhold or withdraw the
Incentive if we reasonably suspect the process is being abused or misused.

 

8. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any
disputes arising in connection with them shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England
and Wales.

 

9. Acceptance of Terms

9.1. By selecting an EV Incentive, you confirm that you:
9.1.1. have read and understood these terms and conditions;
9.1.2. acknowledge that you will be entering into a separate contract with a Third-Party Provider;
9.1.3. accept responsibility for the full repayment of the Incentive if the vehicle rental is cancelled or terminated early.
